Wipe Scorpion (Kalajengking Cambuk)

What animal is It?? It’s called Ketonggeng (Indo) or Whiptail Scorpion (Eng: kalajengking cambuk), ordo thelyphonida. It’s commonly known as vinegaroons, because their abdomen could spray a vinegar-like smell.

We found this animal last night when the class was just begun.
Look!! How like this animal eat the cicada(cricket) as its supper.
Although Ketonggeng is looks like the scorpion, It’s unpoisonus animal, they just have a couple pinch that commonly used to attack other insect.
They just spray an acid smell (like a vinegar’s smell) when unsafe or indanger.
And they are valuable in controlling the population of cockroaches and crickets. So, don’t be affraid!! Save them…
